On Sunday, we had some sun at times and some clouds at other times with seasonably cool afternoon temperatures after one more frosty early AM with temps in the mid 20s. A clear, milder evening with temps holding in the 30s overnight into Monday morning. On Saturday, we had plenty of sun at times (see today’s featured image taken during my GLOBE observations in the late morning of a solitary cumulus cloud (enlarged) in the otherwise clear sky at the time) but generally partly cloudy skies and colder early AM temperatures and milder afternoon temperatures than yesterday. On Tuesday, we had mostly cloudy skies, lowering and thickening all day, and colder, particularly in the evening during our light rain changing to/mixing with light snow (0.23″/0.2″ snow). After a low temp just below freezing in the early AM, the temperature rebounded into the low 40s in the early afternoon, then cooled off into the evening through much of the 30s during the rain changing to snow evening activity. On Monday, we had mostly sunny skies and a bit colder temperatures with light winds. Seasonably cold temps topped out in the mid 40s, after lows in the early AM in the mid-upper 20s. The region is still recovering from our weekend windstorm, still with areas out of power and plenty of traffic problems from blocked roads from downed trees. On Sunday, storm conditions really went away for the most part, with bright, sunny skies, seasonably cold temps in the mid-upper 40s, and lighter winds than we have been having. Wednesday was a partly sunny day (mostly clear/sunny AM, partly to mostly cloudy PM) and even warmer that Tuesday. My 78.3 high temperature was the warmest daily max temp I have recorded since 82.3 was reached back on October 10, 2017. Temps on Wednesday hit 70° by 1030, after a warm launching point in the low 60s in the early AM.
