A changeable day, AM Clouds, occasional light rain and mild, then clearing and cooler weather update the rest of the day for West Rockville Maryland for Monday October 16 2017

Monday was a changeable day, AM clouds, overnight occasional light rain (0.05″), then clearing and cooler the rest of the day. Temperatures did the topsy-turvy thing again, ranging from around 70° (at midnight) down to 50° 24 hours later. Dew points ranged from the upper-mid 60s (early) down to the upper-mid 30s. Now at 0835 we have clear skies with chilly temps. Temperatures are now in the low 40s with dew points in the upper-mid 30s. The Monday minimum temperature from the VP2 (50.0°) was recorded at 2359 while the maximum temperature (70.6°) was recorded 24 hours earlier at 0000. The PM Max temperature was 61.7 @ 1555. Dew point temps ranged from 67° down to 37°. Relative humidity values dropped significantly all day (94% – 41%). Barometric values rose all day, ranging from 29.88″ at 0014 up to 30.26″ at 2352.

Remember now you can get the VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444. I am also now on weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time.

I was up midday to take a shower and prepare for my sanitary engineer Loly to come and do her once a month magic. She was here working for about 2 hours in the early afternoon. I had a late breakfast right when she arrived about 1230, with the usual cereal, banana and a fresh mini-pot of coffee. I talked with Ray in the late afternoon and early evening and Marty also in the early evening. I snacked on some kimchee and seafood salad as appetizers, then cooked up yellow rice and kimchee marinated chicken thighs in a pyrex dish covered with foil. Plenty leftover for another meal. In the evening I caught great 8-1 Yankee win over the Astros behind CC Sabathia’s strong pitching and some key 3 run HR power from Aaron Judge and Todd Frazier. Next game Tuesday late afternoon, also from Yankee stadium. I also read my email and facebook communications at times throughout the evening and talked briefly with Ray again, and earlier with my friend Deb up in NW NJ over a variety of weather items. I had prune juice and some spicy V8 around dinner time along with my vitamins and ice water.

We now have a sunny sky at 0835 Tuesday. Tuesday should be sunny with high temps in the low 60s and lows around 40°. Wednesday should start warming up with sunny skies and highs around 70° with lows in the mid 40s. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the upper 40s on Thursday and Friday, again with sunny skies. A really dry week with slowly warming temps.

On Weatherbug at 0835 the radar is showing scattered light showers in parts of Florida and also well up in central Ontario.
