A partly cloudy, warm, moderately humid weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Friday September 22 2017

Friday was partly cloudy (mostly cloudy at times), warm and moderately humid once again. Temperatures rose to the 80° mark with lows in the upper-mid 60s. Dew points came back a bit closer as they had been running prior to yesterday, ranging once again in the 60s all day. Now at 0822 we have sunny skies with a few jet contrails and cirrus scattered about with temperatures in the low 60s and the dew points a bit low in the 50s with slightly drier air coming in overnight. The Thursday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground below my balcony (67.2°) was recorded at 2235 while the maximum temperature (79.9°) was recorded at 1349. Dew point temps ranged from 64° to 69°. Relative humidity values were about the same as yesterday (94% – 61%). Barometric values were about the same as yesterday, ranging from 30.08″ at 09474 down to 29.98″ at 1825.

We now have sunny skies with temperatures in the lower 60s at 0822 Saturday. Sunny skies will dominate our weather over the weekend with warm and moderately humid conditions. High temps should generally be in the mid-upper 80s with lows in the mid 60s. Sunny and quite warm on Monday with some scattered clouds at times with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the mid 60s. On Tuesday a bit cooler with cloudy skies, highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid 60s. No sign of additional tropical activity from Hurricane Maria or Tropical Storm Jose, but they are still spinning out in the Atlantic Ocean and still must be monitored. No significant tropical activity is expected to affect our area through Wednesday.

On Weatherbug at 0822 the radar is still barely showing the circulation showers tropical storm Jose off the southern MA coast, and a few scattered clouds offshore of sections of the Florida coast.
