You can get my VP2 data on Weatherlink. I have migrated over to Weatherlink 2.0 so I have a new link for my data. You can now access the data through:

I am posting daily to weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time.

The web address for my data on weather underground is:

I contribute daily to cocorahs as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/

Please remember that Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge.

I actually use the data I post to cocorahs from my 4″ cocorahs gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

October 2018 has had 0.01″ of rainfall at my location so far with my year-to-date precipitation at 48.43″.

Overnight Sunday into Monday was mostly cloudy, foggy, and damp. Dew points climbed through the upper 60s overnight to the mid 70s by late morning.

Monday was partly cloudy (generally AM clouds, PM sun), warm and humid, with highs in the low 80s and lows around 70°.

Tuesday should be cloudy, continued warm and humid, with highs around 80° and lows in the upper 60s.

Wednesday looks to be partly cloudy with AM clouds and PM sun, warm and humid with highs in the low 80s and lows in the low 70s.

Thursday should be cloudy with highs in the upper 70s, lows cooling off late into the mid 50s, and a 100 POP for thunderstorms.

Friday should become mostly sunny, notably cooler and drier, with highs in the low 60s and lows in the mid 40s, our first such lows of the fall season.

Saturday should be sunny and a brilliant fall day, with highs in the upper 50s and lows in the mid 40s.

Our first freeze/frost still looks to be a few weeks away, as it has been trending later in the fall over the past few years. Outer areas of the region might have a shot at a frost this weekend.

Early fall color change is minimal so far, with only spotty locations showing any. What I hope to see more of in a few weeks is reflected in today’s featured image, taken up in Green River VT last week.

Currently at 0340 the temperature is 70.7°, dew point temperature 69°,

relative humidity 95%, and barometric pressure at 30.33″ and falling.

Currently I have cloudy skies with damp/warm overnight temperatures around 70°.

Good morning from the Walrus early on this Tuesday.

Kevin
