You can get my VP2 data on Weatherlink. I have migrated over to Weatherlink 2.0 so I have a new link for my data. You can now access the data through:

I am posting daily to weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time.
The web address for my data on weather underground is:

I contribute daily to cocorahs as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/

Please remember that Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge.

I actually use the data I post to cocorahs from my 4″ cocorahs gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

October 2018 has had 0.01″ of rainfall at my location so far with my year-to-date precipitation at 48.43″.

Overnight Friday into Saturday was mostly cloudy, cooler and dry. Dew points remained in the 60s overnight and all day.

Saturday was cloudy, remaining cool and dry high temps in the low 70s and upper-low 60s with no rain or drizzle/mist that I observed. Overnight Saturday into Sunday morning has been cloudy, damp, and milder in the upper 60s.

Sunday will have AM clouds and PM sun and warm up significantly with highs in the upper-mid 80s and lows in the upper 60s.

Monday should be partly cloudy and warm, with highs in the low 80s and lows in the upper 60s.

Tuesday should be a bit cooler under cloudy skies, with highs around 80° and lows in the upper 60s.

Wednesday looks to be cloudy, highs in the upper 70s and lows around 70° with a 50 POP for showers.

Thursday should be cloudy with highs in the upper-mid 70s, lows cooling off late in the mid 50s and a 90 POP for thunderstorms.

We are definitely having a dry start to the month of October. I think the pattern will change with next Thursday’s thunderstorms and cold frontal passage late in the day, heading us into a cooler and hopefully wetter pattern thereafter.

Our first freeze/frost still looks to be a few weeks away, as it has been trending later in the fall over the past few years. We still haven’t even come close to mins in the 40s, not normal by this time of the fall season. They could be coming to my area at the end of the coming week.

Early fall color change is minimal so far, with only spotty locations showing any. What I hope to see in a few weeks is today’s feature image, taken up in East Fairfield VT earlier this week.

Currently at 0520 the temperature is 69.8°, dew point temperature 69°,

relative humidity 96%, and barometric pressure at 30.18″ and steady.

Currently I have cloudy skies and damp/warmer overnight temperatures in the upper 60s.

Good morning from the Walrus early on this Sunday.

Kevin
