You can get the VP2 data on Weatherlink. I have migrated over to Weatherlink 2.0 so I have a new link for my data. You can now access the data through:

I am posting daily to weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time. The web address for my data on weather underground is:

I contribute daily to cocorahs as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/

Please remember that Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge. I actually use the data I post to cocorahs from my 4″ cocorahs gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

October 2018 has had 0.01″ of rainfall at my location so far with my year-to-date precipitation at 48.43″.

Overnight Thursday into Friday was mostly cloudy, mild and humid but turning cooler and drier. Dew points started the day in the low 70s but dropped into the upper 50s by mid-morning.

Friday was cloudy in the AM, then sunny during the daylight PM hours. Clouds returned in the late evening and overnight into Saturday, with some light fog and even some drizzle predicted for the mid-morning hours.

Saturday should be mostly cloudy and warmer with highs in the upper 70s and lows in the mid 60s with only a 10 POP for measurable rain (drizzle isn’t expected to be measurable if indeed it falls at all in the AM).

Sunday will have AM clouds and PM sun and be warmer with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the upper 60s.

Monday should be partly cloudy and warm, with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the upper-mid 60s.

Tuesday should be a bit cooler under partly cloudy skies, with highs around 80° and lows in the upper-mid 60s.

Wednesday looks to be partly to mostly cloudy, highs once again around 80° and lows in the upper 60s with a 40 POP for PM showers.

We are definitely having a dry start to the month of October. Longer range predictions through the middle of the month (at least) are for this warm, dry weather to persist.

Our first freeze/frost still looks to be several weeks away, as it has been trending later in the fall over the past few years. We still haven’t even come close to mins in the 40s, not normal by this time of the fall season. They might be coming to my area in about a week. I can only hope…

Early fall color change is minimal so far, with only spotty locations showing any. What I hope to see in a few weeks is shown in today’s featured image, taken up in West Fairlee VT earlier this week.

Currently at 0622 the temperature is 64.1°, dew point temperature 63°, relative humidity 95%, and barometric pressure at 30.19″ and steady.

Currently I have cloudy skies and damp/moderate overnight temperatures in the mid 60s.

Good morning from the Walrus early on this Saturday.

Kevin
