Remember now you can get the VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444  I am posting daily to weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time. The web address for my data on weather underground is: https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/

I contribute daily to cocorahs as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/

Please remember that Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge. I actually use the data I post to cocorahs from my 4″ cocorahs gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

September monthly precipitation has risen to 7.97″ with my year-to-date precipitation now at 46.05″. More rain on Tuesday and much of this last week of September will be changing these totals, most likely daily.

Light rain has been falling early on this Tuesday morning, accompanied by continued cool mid 60s temps and dew points, with scattered showers and thunderstorms falling off and on (60 POP) the rest of the day and rising temps by afternoon into the mid 70s.  Wednesday looks partly cloudy, highs in the low 80s, lows in the mid-upper 50s with an 80 POP for PM thunderstorms.  Thursday should be cooler (only topping out in the upper 60s), partly cloudy with a 50 POP for PM showers. Right now Friday looks dry with only a 20 POP for an isolated shower, highs in the mid
70s and lows in the upper 50s. Saturday should be partly cloudy and pleasant, with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the mid 50s.

Currently at 0740 the temperature is 65.7°, dew point temperature 65°, relative humidity 97%, barometric pressure at 30.26″ and falling.

Cloudy skies, cool temperatures with occasional rain falling this morning (0.24″ as of 0740) with occasionally wet weather, possibly stormy with the usual clouds expected the rest of the day.

Good morning from the Walrus on this cloudy, wet Tuesday.

Kevin
