Incredible coastal storm for mid-July, flooding rains, winds, cool temps – brief report from West Rockville MD for July 21 2018

My apologies for not reporting for over a week, I was in the hospital for 3 days with a leg infection (cellulitis) and have been recovering at home since. Saturday’s incredible rainy day (my rainiest ever since starting obs at this location in January 2017) was so noteworthy I wanted to get at least a brief word out on it, not in my usual format, but copies of what I just posted in my CoCoRaHS report for Saturday. 

Update as of 0300 Sun July 22 CoCoRaHAS obs time 2359 on 7/21/2018:
4.02″ of rain  that has fallen in the gauge during the past 24 hours.

High temp 73.6° @ 0000
Low temp 63.7° @ 2323

  1. Thank you Nathan. I am continuing to give copies of my expanded cocorahs reports to use as a base to my daily report for now. Some day soon I will catch up. We have daily rainfall expected most days this week.
