A cloudy, cool, dry weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Friday October 13 2017

“Friday the 13th” was a cloudy, cool, dry day with no measurable rain falling. Once again temperatures did not vary much all day, ranging from the low 60s to the upper-mid 50s. Dew points ranged from the upper 50s down to the upper-low 50s . Now at 0756 we have cloudy skies with temperatures in the upper 50s with dew points also in the upper 50s. The Thursday minimum temperature from the VP2 (57.2°) was recorded at 0447 while the maximum temperature (62.0°) was recorded at 1419. Dew point temps ranged from 59° down to 53°. Relative humidity values were about the same as yesterday (95% – 85%). Barometric values rose even further today, ranging from 30.38″ at 1021 down to 30.29″ at 2357.

Remember now you can get the VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444. I am also now on weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time.

I was up in the mid afternoon after talking briefly with Ray on some weather station items, just in time for the 1500 rummikub game. After the 2 hour game, I returned to my apartment and had banana and cereal for a late brunch along with coffee and a microwaved sausage, cheese and egg biscuit. I warmed up leftover salmon and rice a roni, with a microwave package of cut green beans for dinner. I watched all of the 2-1 tough loss by the Yankees in the first game of the ALCS against the Houston Astros in the evening. I also read my email and facebook communications at times throughout the evening and face-timed with Robin and Gideon late. I had some spicy V8 around dinner time along with my vitamins and ice water.

We now have a cloudy sky at 0756 Saturday. On Saturday warmer temps into the upper mid 70s and lows around 60° with partly cloudy skies and no chance of rain. Sunday should warm into the low 80s under sunny skies with lows in the low 50s. Monday should cool down under partly cloudy skies with highs in the low 60s and lows
in the upper 30s. Tuesday should be sunny with high temps in the upper-low 60s and lows in the low 40s. Wednesday should also be sunny and warming up a bit with highs around 70° and lows in the mid 40s.

On Weatherbug at 0756 the radar is showing showers over parts of coastal Connecticut and New York’s Long Island, and offshore of the NJ coast, plus rain over SW Michigan and northern Indiana.
