A partly to mostly sunny, warm, dry weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Wednesday September 27 2017

Wednesday was sunny to partly sunny at times, still quite warm and dry but with cooler air on the way. Temperatures rose into the mid 80s with lows in the upper 60s. Dew points rose into the low 70s. Now at 0822 we have sunny skies and temperatures still around 70° and the dew points in the mid 60s. The Tuesday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground below my balcony (68.8°) was recorded at 0621 while the maximum temperature (86.5°) was recorded at 1616. Dew point temps ranged from 66° up to 73°. Relative humidity values were a bit lower today (91% – 54%). Barometric values were lower than yesterday, ranging from 29.92″ at 0000 down to 29.77″ at 2347.

Remember now you can get the ground-based VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444 On Tuesday
I progressed to another source of my real-time data – weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data came
online about noontime on Tuesday.

I was up by mid-morning to make my 1000 DDS appointment, but while on the way there in our courtesy apartment shuttle the Dentist office called me and said the Dentist was sick today and I had to reschedule my appt to October 11. So I got back to my apartment by 1000, and started working on my computer. I called Philips back to get a replacement part for my electric toothbrush as it still doesn’t hold a charge. Items started clearing on my bank account, and lo and behold I got my Safeway delivery order at about 2000 right at the end of the delivery window. I had a big late brunch of corned beef hash, eggs, mushrooms and cheese with a toasted bagel and cream cheese on the side. It was really yummy! I caught some evening baseball action. I talked with Robin in the late afternoon right when she acknowledged receipt of the package for Gideon for an early birthday present while in the middle of moving all day. I now have her new address, and even found her new place on Google Maps with a nice street view of the place. I had some yummy chocolate chip cookies for dessert later. I spoke with Marty earlier on the phone as he prepares for a trip out to Montana, flying out on Thursday. I also caught up on some late breaking news with him, besides our usual weather talk. I also did the same with Ray later in the evening. I also caught up some on my email and facebook messaging later during the evening. I had some more kimchee and spicy low-sodium V8 juice right around dinner time. As always I had plenty of water and vitamins throughout the evening.

We now have mostly clear skies with a few scattered high clouds with temperatures around 70° at 0822 Thursday. We have a transition day on Thursday with mostly sunny skies, breezy at times, and dropping temps and dew points into the mid 70s and 50s dew points and lows into the more comfortable low 50s. Friday should continue to cool, with highs in the low 70s and lows in the low 50s. Cooler air will continue to work its way into the weekend as we transition from September into October with highs in the mid 60s and lows in the mid 40s on Saturday and about 70° and 50° on Sunday. I had been hopeful for some rain early next week, but not so sure about that any more. We really need the rain, it has really gotten dry around here.

On Weatherbug at 0822 the radar is clear in the 4 state region as our cold front is coming through quite dry. Showers associated with the front and possibly remaining moisture from the old storm Jose can be found off the Cape Cod coast of southern New England out in the Atlantic Ocean.
