I got up in the mid afternoon today when the storm hit which “forced” me into action to track and observe the exciting action.  I had a toasted everything bagel with egg, leftover breakfast sausage, mushrooms and cream cheese that was ooey-gooey but oh so delicious! I caught up a bit with my email and talked quite a bit on the phone with Tracy, Robin, and Ray and Marty about today’s weather. I finished the leftover lamb-burger and the guacomole along with the rest of a container of deli potato salad.  I got my computer printer cartridges delivered today, and I installed them, but so far can only get the color part to work – for some reason the black ink is not working. I had prune juice and spicy low-sodium V8 before dinner with guac and chips during and after dinner, along with a few triscuits and cheese.  I continued to work a bit more on the newly “hatched” Weatherquack weather website which should be fun in the coming months. I posted a special blog on today’s storm, similar to the the picture used as the featured image on this blog post of the storm as it moved off to my SE many miles away around 1700. I hope to see many of you soon on Weatherquack http://www.weatherquack.com – it is completely free and easy to use once you complete your registration and a short ramping up period.  I also drank a good part of my ginormous water bottle throughout the evening and early morning hours.

We now have fair skies with temperatures in the mid 70s at about 0547, just at sunrise. Partly sunny and hot with highs in the low 90s, lows in the upper 60s on Sunday and Monday, then partly to mostly cloudy with highs around 90° on July 4th (Tuesday) and a 60 POP for showers/storms, lows in the upper 60s. Wednesday looks to clear out (at least partially) and a bit “cooler” with highs in the upper 80s and lows around 70°.

On Channel 4 radar at 0549, most of the Eastern US is now basically clear of rain returns, with the Saturday action moved well offshore into the Atlantic Ocean at this time.
