I got up in the mid afternoon to be ready for my larger Safeway grocery delivery order between 1600-2000. It came around 1730 actually, and I had all the food put away by 1800. No subsitutions and they were not out of anything I ordered. For a late brunch I had the remaining breakfast sausage that I cooked up earlier in the week, heated up in the microwave along with a few eggs and 2 slices of cheese. I served it all on top of newly acquired everything bagels (toasted of course) along with a pot of coffee. I worked on email a bit and watched a good bit of the very enjoyable Yankees/Orioles game (enjoyable because my beloved Yankees really put on a HR/hitting barrage, winning the game 16-3) and talking with Marty after dinner. Dinner wasn’t much tonight, only a heated up pastrami sandwich with pickles, mayo, mustard and cheese on toasted rye, along with some newly acquired deli potato salad. I also had some hot and spicy low sodium V8 before dinner. I continued to work a bit more on the newly “hatched” Weatherquack weather website which should be fun in the coming months. I hope some of you out there will join in the fun on Weatherquack – it is completely free and easy to use once you complete your registration and a short ramping up period. I also drank a good part of my ginormous water bottle throughout the evening and early morning hours.
We now have totally clear skies at sunrise with temperatures in the upper 60s to around 70° at 0545. Sunday’s maximum temps should be in the low-mid 90s with lows in the mid-upper 60s under sunny skies. Monday and Tuesday should have highs in the mid 90s under sunny skies with just a few scattered clouds from time to time, with increasing humidity. Lows will be around 70°. Wednesday looks cloudy and stormy (late in the afternoon particularly – 90 POP at this moment) with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the mid 60s. Cooling off on Thursday with highs in the upper 70s and lows in the low 60s under partly cloudy but dry skies.
According to Channel 4 radar, there are just a few areas of rain/storms in the Eastern US and up in Canada – showers mostly out in the Dakotas into Minnesota and also up in parts of Quebec north of Maine.
