A partly sunny, warmer, and more humid weather update for West Rockville Maryland on Sunday June 4, 2017
Sunday was partly cloudy, warmer, and more humid than Saturday. A bit above normal temperatures arrived in the afternoon on warming, more humid SW winds with temperatures topping off in the mid 80s, with once again no rain at all. At about 0600 we have partly cloudy skies making for a good sunrise in a few minutes with temperatures in the upper 60s. The minimum temperature (59.9°) was recorded right at sunrise at 0544 and the maximum temperature (85.1°) was recorded at 1608. Dew point temperatures rose today, ranging from 65° to 56°. Relative humidity values were higher than yesterday (85% – 41%). Barometric values lowered a bit today, ranging from 30.03″ at 0107 to 29.78″ at 2350.

I got up in the late afternoon as I really got a good uninterrupted period of overnight sleep for a change. I did play a few games and checked on messages from bed before I got up. I started a dinner soon after getting up, which was breakfast food first, with breakfast sausage, egg, cheese, and mushrooms on a toasted everything bagel (2 open-faced halves). Later on I had a few impromptu subs on brat rolls that were getting stale fast, with turkey pastrami, cheese, pickles, mayo and mustard . I microwaved the rolls to try and freshen them up a bit, which worked reasonably well. I also had spicy hot low sodium V8 before dinner. I watched the 2nd game of the NBA finals, won by Golden State again 132-113. I also caught some baseball action and part of a wrestling show. I continued to work a bit more on the newly “hatched” Weatherquack weather website which should be fun in the coming months. I got a few edit problems figured out on my daily blog posts. I hope some of you out there will join in the fun – it is completely free and easy to use once you complete your registration and a short ramping up period. I also drank a good part of my ginormous water bottle throughout the evening and early morning hours.
According to Channel 4 radar, there is a good bit of rain showers and storms out to my south and southwest over a good part of SW and South Central VA, and southern WV and a good part of central NC, moving mostly eastward so this initial precipitation push may stay a bit south of my immediate area at first, but eventually the rain should work into my area sometime later on Monday.
