WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – (BLACK) FRIDAY NOVEMBER 26, 2021

My wrist discomfort bothered me a bit less today but I still have weakness with certain muscle movements/actions that was more troubling at times. Wearing the wrist brace overnight and applied the Voltaren early today. Occasional back discomfort continued unfortunately. I still need to make tonight’s post shorter as I have been the past week to somewhat reduce my typing efforts.

Friday was partly cloudy with early morning light showers with the passage of a strong cold front, turning colder as the day wore on with a significant strengthening of winds. I started the day out in the upper 40s for today’s high at midnight but dropped down into the mid 30s by the very end of the day with dew points ranging from the mid 40s in the early morning down to 20 by midday and holding the rest of the day. Today’s low temperature was a bit milder than yesterday, in the mid 30s but sliding down at the time of occurrence around midnight.

The peak wind gust for the day (50 MPH) was much stronger than yesterday, “peaking” mid-morning, veering to a colder W direction from yesterday. This is my highest PWG since August 27 in a thunderstorm earlier this year when a 63 MPH PWG was recorded. Barometric pressures were highest in the very late evening hours while the lowest was reached in the early overnight morning hours.

Saturday, Monday-Wednesday should be partly cloudy and seasonably cold with highs in the mid-upper 40s and lows in the upper 20s-low 30s. Sunday should be a bit milder with highs in the low 50s with more clouds than sun and lows around freezing.

Basic Statistics for Friday:

Low temp 33.9 at 2355

Peak Wind Gust (PWG) 50 MPH from the W at 1007

Currently at 0145 AM EST Saturday we have cloudy skies with a temperature of 33.6, barometer 29.97″ and steady, relative humidity 59%, dew point 20, winds W-NW @ 15-25 MPH. No rain has fallen since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.
