WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – TUESDAY JUNE 1, 2021

Tuesday started off the month of June on a partly sunny, pleasant start. Slighly milder max temps (mid 70s) than Memorial Day with the low temp for the day moderating up to the mid 50s. The winds were relatively light from a continued W direction with the PWG the same as yesterday . Barometric pressures were highest in the morning and lowest in the early evening.

Wednesday should be cloudy with showers possible, with highs in the upper 70s and lows in the mid 50s. Warming up to around the 80 mark on Thursday and Friday with increasing humidity and also increasing chances of showers and thundershowers both days. Drying out some heading into the weekend as Saturday should be partly cloudy and warmer, with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid 60s with a hot spell into the 90s looming starting out on Sunday with lows only bottoming out in the mid-upper 60s by Monday.

Currently at 0427 AM EDT Wednesday cloudy skies with rain showers in the area with a temperature of 64.4, barometer 30.20″ and falling, relative humidity 84%, dew point 60 , winds S-SE at less than 5 MPH. No rain has yet to fall since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.

Today’s feature image was one taken in the middle of the day back on May 1 2019 to see if you can detect any major differences from the pictures I have been posting the past
few weeks. It still is basically showing the same scene, looking west past my cocorahs 4-inch rain gauge through variably cloudy, dry skies at the time.
