WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – WEDNESDAY MAY 19 AND THURSDAY MAY 20, 2021

Wednesday was mostly sunny with warmer max temps (low 80s) than Tuesday with lows a bit higher (mid 50s), reached at normal times during the 24 hour day. The winds lessened up a bit from the W direction. Barometric pressures dropped a bit over Tuesday’s readings.

Thursday was partly cloudy with warmer max temps (mid 80s) than Wednesday with lows bit higher (upper 50s), reached at normal times during the calendar day. The winds remained relatively light while veering over to a SE direction, which brought in some late in the day cooling and strangely lower dew points. Barometric pressures rose appreciably as a back door front brought in a HIGH from the east.

Friday through the weekend will be hot under partly to mostly sunny skies with max temps around 90 with cooler temps (70s) and showers on Monday. Lows look to be in the upper 50s on Friday and mid 60s over the weekend before lowering back into the 50s with the rain and clouds on Monday.

Today’s feature image was one taken around sunset a bit over a week ago (last Sunday evening) looking west past my cocorahs 4-inch rain gauge through the generally cloudy, dry skies at the time showing a green groundcover.
