Brief Weather update – West Rockville MD – Thursday, April 8, 2021

Thursday was a mostly sunny, seasonably mild day for early April. Clouds started to filter in late with a rain system moving in early on this Friday morning as I type this, as rain started to fall about 0300 (Friday). That is the first measurable rain to fall at my station since Thursday, April 1.

Rain looks to continue to fall through most of the day on Friday, be mostly cloudy on Saturday, then showers and possible thunderstorms resuming on Sunday.

Temperatures should reach into the 70s on Saturday and Sunday after cooling 60s on Friday with the rain. Next week looks seasonable and dry to start out.
