Mostly to partly cloudy, warmer, still remaining dry for the moment update for Tuesday, April 16 through Thursday, April 18, 2019 in West Rockville Maryland

Well I got behind again as I had to finish up my March data summary spreadsheet and analysis the past few days. So I have briefly summarized the past 3 days ahead of a very active, stormy Friday upcoming. No measurable rain fell during this three day period.

Tuesday featured seasonable temps and partly cloudy skies  Temps in the low 40s early rose to the mid 60s by mid-afternoon.

Wednesday featured seasonable temps and partly cloudy skies  Temps in the low 50s early rose to the upper mid 60s by mid-afternoon. I got my hair cut today (finally). Picture is shown as today’s featured image. Nice to get cleaned up once in a while! <g>

There was no measurable precipitation through the Tuesday-Thursday period. April still has a total of 0.92″ of precipitation. The year-to-date total is 12.61″.

My current online data (except for rainfall/snowfall – use the cocorahs link shown below for that dataset) is showing regularly on Weather Underground. My data is posted there every 5 minutes. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time now as it is being updated on a 5 minute interval. The web address for my data on weather underground is:
https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KMDROCKV200

I contribute my precipitation data daily to CoCoRaHS as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/

Please remember that my Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge, just as it does on WxLink 2.0. The tipping bucket has been producing erratic values at times so should not be used except for general precipitation timing.

I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4 inch CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

Good Friday will be stormy with clouds, showers and thunderstorms, highs in the mid 70s and lows in the low 60s.

Saturday should be partly cloudy, drier and cooler, with highs in the upper 60s and lows in the upper 40s.

On Easter Sunday conditions should be variably cloudy and cooler with highs in the low 60s and lows in the upper 40s with chances of showers.

Monday and Tuesday should be partly cloudy with highs around 70° on Monday and around 80° on Tuesday with lows in the low 50s.

Rain showers and cooler weather expected on Wednesday, with highs in the upper 60s and lows around 50°.

Midnight Thursday night found the temperature to be 70.0°, relative humidity 60%, pressure steady at 29.82″ and the dew point at 56.4° under cloudy skies.

Currently at 0818 the temperature is 67.2° under cloudy skies, relative humidity at 82%, barometric pressure falling at 29.78″, and the dew point at 62°.

Good morning from the walrus on this cloudy Friday. Have a great Easter weekend!
