Tuesday was cloudy once again and colder in the afternoon, with mostly overnight light rain once again (0.04″) prior to sunrise that just morphed into cloudy, damp skies most of the daylight/evening hours. Showers approached from the west with a strong cold front, but won’t get here till late morning Wednesday. The Tuesday maximum temperature from the VP2 (50.0°) was recorded at 2051 while the Tuesday minimum temperature (42.3°) was recorded at 0000. Just about a total reversal of the normal daily temperature pattern. Dew point temperatures rose a bit from Monday’s readings, ranging from a low of 37° at 0000 up to a high of 48° at 2041. Relative humidity values rose even more from Monday (94% – 79%) . Barometric values started out at their highest point very early, then gradually lowered the rest of the day (high of 30.19″ at 0025) to a low much later of 29.79″ at 2031.

I had a slow day with the clouds and occasional rain, resting a lot finally. I got my final edit back from my friend Lowell who was fixing up a technical issue with the spreadsheet but did not email out the final summary and final spreadsheet to all of my weather friends, groups and blogs. I will do that on Wednesday. I had some mushroom risotto for dinner, with cubes of leftover chicken breast mixed in. That was a new experiment. I talked with Tracy on her way to work and to Marty in the early morning hours. I had some low sodium spicy V8 juice around dinnertime, along with my usual good supply of ice water, vitamins and supplements during the day.

Overnight Tuesday into Wednesday skies remained cloudy but warmed up through the upper 40s and 50s ahead of a strong cold front that should give us some showers (40 POP) later this morning with even the possibility of a rumble or two of thunder with temps climbing a bit more into the low-mid 60s till the FROPA blows on through by mid-day/early afternoon and then turns colder and windy, with a wind advisory out for this afternoon. Lows Wednesday night may reach the low 30s with winds falling off. Thursday should be mostly sunny and cool, with lows in the upper 30s and highs only in the low 50s. Friday should be mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 60s and lows in the mid 30s. Saturday’s forecast has firmed up a bit with cloudy skies and a 100 POP for snow, highs in the mid 30s and lows in the mid 20s. Sunday should be mostly sunny and a bit milder, with highs in the low-mid 40s and lows in the upper 20s.

On the channel 4 weather radar website at 0855 shows a NE/SW line of showers and embedded thunderstorms out to my west through central VA into central PA to the north and points beyond and deep into SW VA to the south. They should get here in the later hours of this morning.
