WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – SUNDAY JUNE 20, 2021
Sunday was hot and humid with highs in the low 90s reached by mid/late afternoon. Partly cloudy skies was the norm during most the PM hours. Storm chances were low. Minimum temps were a bit cooler today with lows reaching the upper 60s in the early morning hours. Dew points increased some from yesterday, climbing from the middle 60s in the early AM hours to the middle 70s by late morning/midday.
The winds dropped slightly during the afternoon into the evening but veered to a moist SE direction. Barometric pressures were highest in the mid morning hours and lowest in the early evening hours.
Monday should be hot and humid once again with highs in the low-mid 90s on Monday under partly to mostly cloudy skies and lows around 70 with showers and storms possible. Cooler max temps in the low 70s and lows in the low-mid 50s with mostly cloudy skies and rain showers on Tuesday associated with a strong cold front which should bring us cooler, relatively nice days on Wednesday and Thursday with highs of 75-80 and lows in the mid to upper 50s under mostly sunny skies.

Currently at 0335 AM EDT Monday we have clear skies with a temperature of 73.6, barometer 29.74″ and falling, relative humidity 90%, dew point 71, winds S-SW at 5-10 MPH. No rain has fallen since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.
