WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – WEDNESDAY JUNE 2, 2021

Wednesday continued the inevitable warmup as we head further into June. We had a mostly cloudy day with a bit of sun showing at times, particularly towards the later afternoon. Max temps reached the 80 mark with the low temperatures warming into the lower 60s. The winds picked up a bit from Tuesday veering into a more southerly direction. Barometric pressures were highest in the very early morning hours and lowest in the early evening.

Thursday and Friday should remain mostly cloudy with highs around the 80 mark with increasing humidity and increasing chances of showers and thundershowers both days. Lows should be in the low-mid 60s.

Drying out heading into the weekend as Saturday should be mostly sunny and warmer, with highs around 90 and lows in the mid 60s with a slightly hotter spell into the low 90s and lows around 70 into early next week with increasing chances of showers/storms by Wednesday.

Currently at 0551 AM EDT Thursday we have cloudy skies with a temperature of 66.2, barometer 30.04″ and falling, relative humidity 95%, dew point 65 , winds SE at less than 5 MPH. 0.01″ of rain has fallen since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.

Today’s feature image was one taken last evening around a cloudy sunset. It is basically showing the usual view looking west past my cocorahs 4-inch rain gauge through cloudy, still dry skies.
