WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – MONDAY MAY 17, 2021

Monday was partly cloudy with a bit milder max temps (low 70s) than Sunday with lows the same (50), reached at normal times during the 24 hour day. The winds were quite light from the SW direction. Barometric pressures increased some over Sunday’s readings.

Monday looks to be partly cloudy and mild with highs in the low 70s and lows in the upper 40s.

Thereafter the rest of the week looks to be heating up under partly to mostly sunny skies with max temps starting out around 85 on Tuesday warming up to around 90
by the weekend. Lows look to be in the mid-upper 50s to start the week to the upper 60s by the weekend. If we hit 90 that will be the first of the season.

Currently at 0534 AM EDT Tuesday clear skies with the temperature at 52.0, barometer 30.34″ and steady, relative humidity 88%, dew point 49 ,
winds S-SW at less than 5 MPH. No rain has fallen since midnight into the tipping bucket VP2 gauge at the USG site across the street from me.

Today’s feature image was one taken around sunset a bit over a week ago (last Sunday evening) looking west past my cocorahs 4-inch rain gauge through the generally cloudy, dry skies at the time showing a green groundcover.
