Please click on the link shown above. I got it recently from my friend Bill Winkler out in Kansas, a humorous graphic of a bar with a variety of weather related images shown on TV screens at the bar that the patrons can see while sitting around the bar.

My apologies for not posting for quite a while. I have had a rough go of it at a variety of times over the late winter/early spring of 2021. I am not physically getting around very well so I can’t get out to my rain gauge, so I have gathered tipping bucket rain gauge data from the USG station across the street, which is reasonably accurate during non-freezing precipitation events. I consider it estimated data and don’t report it into cocorahs. My temperature and other weather parameters I record are fine and I have good statistics from those categories.

In the two PDF files shown immediately below are data and statistics for February, with estimates of precipitation including all frozen types included. March is still in work.

2021-02 Rockvillr 2.8 WNW Rockville 2.8 WNW February 2021 Weather Summary

I had an unsettled, chilly, wet February with several precipitation events, none big individually but I recorded 20 days with measurable precipitation and several days with snow, sleet and freezing rain.

March was unfortunately snowless and after a chilly start had a mild middle and end of the month with a bit of a chill in between. Precipitation was light, and after a light rainfall on the 1st, I went over 2 weeks before getting my next measurable amount on the 18th. From then on till the end of the month, precipitation was more frequent and the over 2 inches was estimated (2.36″ estimated total for the month) to have fallen between the 18th and the 31st.  A high temp of 80 was reached on the 26th with a low of 25 on the 5th and the 8th.

April so far has been mild and dry the past few days, after a brief wet period on the 1st with sub-freezing mins the first three days. Temps have rebounded the past 4 days with max temps reaching into the 70s to 80. No precipitation has fallen since the 1st. 79 has been the high temp so far, recorded today (April 7). with the month’s low so far (likely to hold up) being 28.6 on April 3.
