Seasonably chilly, partly to mostly cloudy , light rain late with cold frontal passage update for Tuesday, November 5. Wednesday, November 6 and Thursday November 7, 2019 from West Rockville Maryland

Another one of those brief hiatus sessions from me over the past three days, so as usual I am combining details from all 3 days into this one slightly condensed post.

My current downstairs station data is now showing regularly on Weather Underground. My data is posted there every 5 minutes. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called Gardens of Traville. Data is online, available in real-time as it is being updated on a 5 minute interval. The web address for my data on weather underground is: https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KMDROCKV200

I contribute my precipitation data daily to CoCoRaHS as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 and can be found on the web at https://www.cocorahs.org

Please remember that my Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge, just as it does on WxLink 2.0. The tipping bucket has been producing erratic values on most days (when I have had rain that is) so should not be used except for general precipitation timing.

I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4 inch CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my official precipitation total each day.

The three day period covered by the creation and eating of a rather large crockpot full of pork barbecue made from boneless pork shoulder roast, a bit of vinegar, chopped up onions, and worchestire sauce to start, then towards the end sweet baby ray barbecue sauce. The problem I had was my usual dump and pray method of adding the sauce – I added too much sauce, and the pork was really swimming in it too much unfortunately. I picked at it during the 3 day period, and added the rest of the potato salad I had to embellish. Late Friday night I put it to rest for a while in the refrigerator so I could eat something else for a few days. I have been doing a lot of cleaning also, as I had an inspection on Wednesday from apartment maintenance/management.

The weekend looks cold and clear, with highs in the 40s and lows in the upper 20s. A brief warmup on Monday into the more seasonable 50s and 30s, then on Tuesday another shot of cold air should invade the region, with a chance of rain or snow showers possible. Both Tuesday and Wednesday should feature highs in the 30s and lows well down in the 20s.

At Midnight Thursday, partly cloudy skies with a dropping temperature of 43.8 degrees, relative humidity 78%, pressure risiing at 30.13 inches with a dropping dew point temperature of 37 degrees. Winds averaged 7 MPH from the NE.

Currently at 0521 EST Saturday the temperature is 28.3 degrees under clear skies, relative humidity at 79%, barometric pressure steady at 30.39 inches, and the dew point temperature at 23 degrees. Winds are averaging 2 MPH over the past 10 minutes from the E. Peak wind gust since midnight has been 7 MPH from the E at 0420.

Good morning from the walrus on this clear, brisk early November Saturday.
