Tuesday once again featured hot temps rising into the low 90s, quite humid during the early afternoon hours but a bit less humid very early in the day and late in the evening. We had a few light thunderstorm cells at two separate times in the evening, from 1750-1810 and then 1850-2100 approx The earlier storm was more intense, briefer and had about twice the amount of the later one. High temperatures reached the low 90s by early afternoon after a warm, muggy overnight with lows in the mid 70s and then late in the evening in the low 70s when the minimum value for the day was reached. Dew point temps rose into the mid 70s  by early afternoon, then lowered into the low 70s during the rain (along with cooling the temps down into the 70s also) then further lowered to around the 70 mark by midnight observation time.

The maximum temperature was 91.2 degrees at 1343.

The minimum temperature was 71.3 degrees at 2359.

The dew point temperatures ranged from a high of 76 degrees @ 1359 down to a low of 69 degrees @ 1727.

The relative humidity values ranged from a high of 94% @ 0659 down to a low of 55% @ 1627.

The barometric pressure ranged from a high of 30.10 inches @ 1047 down to a low of 30.00 inches @ 1838.

There was 0.59 inches of precipitation on Tuesday so there now is a total of 5.38 inches of rain in August. The year-to-date total is now 34.97 inches.

Please remember that my Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge, just as it does on WxLink 2.0. The tipping bucket has been producing erratic values every day of late so should not be used except for general precipitation timing. (for example, it recorded 2.15 inches of rain over a week ago (Sunday 8/4), with a 16.94 inch an hour rain rate at 0021 very early on that day that was way over what actually occurred.)

I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4 inch CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my official precipitation total each day.

Tuesday was somewhat of a laid back day, doing wash and general cleanup. I made spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, and tonight I managed to keep it off the floor and on my plate till I ate it. It was delicious! I also had some cereal, banana and coffee earlier after I got up. I made a run downstairs to the recycling bin, as I was on the way out to measure more rain in my rain gauge. I continued to prepare my July weather data and more so the list of trivia questions which I will be giving out on Thursday to our apartment group. 

Wednesday started out sunny, hot and humid, and mid-day the rain chances went down to 20%. Then by 1500 a severe thunderstorm watch was posted and I got slammed a lot more than on Tuesday on Wednesday late afternoon and early evening. I will be posting details on those 2 separate late afternoon/early evening storms in my Wednesday post later on Thursday. I keep running further and further behind, but try to stay within one day if at all possible. 

Thursday there are still rain chances in the afternoon/evening, under partly cloudy skies and still hot temps and humid with highs in the low 90s and lows around 70.

Friday will be mostly cloudy and cooler, with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the upper 50s and chances of post-frontal showers as the cold front stalls out not too far to our south.

Saturday and Sunday should be nice with partly cloudy, dry skies and highs in the upper 70s with lows around 60.

Midnight Tuesday recorded a temperature of 71.3 degrees, relative humidity 94%, pressure rising at 30.05 inches and the dew point temperature at 69.5 degrees under mostly cloudy skies.

Currently at 0608 early Thursday the temperature is 70.4 degrees under clear skies, relative humidity at 96%, barometric pressure steady at 29.93 inches, and the dew point temperature at 69 degrees.
