Once again I got tied up the past few days with personal issues that kept me from posting during the period.  I will do my usual condensed post covering the past 3 days into this post. 

Tuesday was partly cloudy and quite warm in the afternoon after a reasonably comfortable overnight, then turned cloudy in the late afternoon into the early evening with a drenching thunderstorm (1.07 inches) between about 1800 and 1930. We had tried to have a party in the late afternoon-early evening outside my balcony in the garden area, but the rain forced us indoors into our building party room.  High temps reached the upper 80s in the mid afternoon after an early AM min in the upper mid 60s. Dew points were in the low 70s in the AM hours then lowered into the mid 60s by mid-afternoon, then rising again by early evening with the thunderstorms to around 70.

The maximum temperature was 88.8 degrees at 1601.

The minimum temperature was 67.6 degrees at 0630.

The dew point temperatures ranged from a high of 72 degrees @ 1025 down to a low of 65 degrees @ 1515.

The relative humidity values ranged from a low of 45% @ 1550 up to a high of 95% @ 2250.

The barometric pressure ranged from a high of 29.94 inches @ 0000 down to a low of 29.79 inches @ 1640.

There was 1.07 inches of precipitation on Tuesday. There has now been a total of 2.68 inches of rain so far in August. The year-to-date total is 32.37 inches.

Wednesday was another partly cloudy and quite warm day in the early afternoon after a bit of a warmer more humid overnight, then turned cloudy in the mid afternoon with another drenching thunderstorm (1.16 inches) between about 1400 and 1600.  High temps reached the upper 80s in the early afternoon after an early AM min around 70, cooling off briefly with the rain in the mid-afternoon down into the 70s, and staying there the rest of the day. Dew points were in the mid 70s in the late AM hours and just before the storm then lowered into the upper mid 60s by mid-afternoon, with the rain cooled air and holding there the rest of the day.

The maximum temperature was 89.0 degrees at 1331.

The minimum temperature was 69.9 degrees at 0000.

The dew point temperatures ranged from a high of 75 degrees @ 1120 down to a low of 67 degrees @ 1455.

The relative humidity values ranged from a high of 96% @ 0705 down to a low of 54% @ 1320.

The barometric pressure ranged from a high of 29.84 inches @ 0705 down to a low of 29.74 inches @ 1345.

There was 1.16 inches of precipitation on Wednesday. There has now been a total of 3.84 inches of rain so far in August. The year-to-date total is now up to 33.53 inches.

Thursday was a partly to mostly sunny and not quite as warm day with slightly lower dew point temperatures and dry.  High temps reached the upper mid 80s in the mid afternoon after an early AM min in the upper mid 60s, only cooling off into the mid 70s by midnight observation time. Dew points were in the low 70s in the late AM hours but lowered into the mid 60s by mid-afternoon, and held there the rest of the day.

The maximum temperature was 87.4 degrees at 1528.

The minimum temperature was 67.1 degrees at 0611.

The dew point temperatures ranged from a high of 72 degrees @ 1127 down to a low of 64 degrees @ 1502.

The relative humidity values ranged from a high of 95% @ 0324 down to a low of 47% @ 1621.

The barometric pressure ranged from a high of 29.82 inches @ 0009 down to a low of 29.74 inches @ 1735.

There was no precipitation on Thursday so there remains a total of 3.84 inches of rain so far in August. The year-to-date total is 33.53 inches.

Please remember that my Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge, just as it does on WxLink 2.0. The tipping bucket has been producing erratic values every day of late so should not be used except for general precipitation timing.
(for example, it recorded 2.15 inches of rain on Sunday, with a 16.94 inch/hour rain rate at 0021 very early on that day that was way over what actually occurred)

I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4 inch CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

Tuesday’s rain forced indoor National Night Out party still had plenty to offer with delicious paella, sangria with plenty of fresh fruit, and a great live band of favorite oldies and jazz pieces that many partiers danced to for a few fun hours. On Wednesday I had the leftover delicious tortellini over sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms spaghetti sauce for dinner. I went to the Thursday trivia game (see featured picture from around that time).  I later had a big salad, with some items badly in need of eating as they were getting tired. I was really busy on some important personal issues that kept me up most of the time with precious little sleep unfortunately. I will be catching up on that sleep the next few days. 

It has been a partly cloudy, quite warm Friday, with temps currently in the mid 80s with dew points in the upper 60s to around 70.

Saturday and Sunday  should be warm and partly to mostly sunny with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the low-mid 60s.

Monday through Tuesday should be a bit warmer but still mostly to partly sunny, dry skies with high temps around 90 by day, and around 70 overnight, temps falling off a bit on Wednesday into the upper 80s and upper 60s with continued dry, partly cloudy skies.

Midnight Thursday recorded a temperature of 76.2 degrees, relative humidity 68%, pressure falling at 29.79 inches and the dew point temperature at 64.9 degrees under partly cloudy skies.

Currently at 1325 the temperature is 85.0 degrees under partly cloudy skies, relative humidity at 59%, barometric pressure falling at 29.82 inches, and the dew point temperature at 69 degrees.
