Partly to mostly sunny, not as warm, dry, pleasant update for Friday, June 21, 2019 from West Rockville Maryland

Dew point temperatures started out around 70° in the early AM hours then slowly falling all day into the mid 50s by late evening.

The maximum temperature was 81.7 degrees at 1537.

My current online data (except for rainfall/snowfall – use the cocorahs link shown below for that dataset) is showing regularly on Weather Underground. My data is posted there every 5 minutes. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, available in real-time as it is being updated on a 5 minute interval. The web address for my data on weather underground is:                                  https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KMDROCKV200

I contribute my precipitation data daily to CoCoRaHS as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/

Please remember that my Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge, just as it does on WxLink 2.0. The tipping bucket has been producing erratic values every day of late so should not be used except for general precipitation timing.

I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4 inch CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

Friday was a busy day socially as my apartment complex had a hot dog cookout downstairs in our party room at 1600, then we had an earlier version of our weekly rummikub game (1730-1900) soon after the hot dog gathering was cleaned up in the same room.  Then I retired to my apartment to watch the Yankees beat the Astros 4-1 on MLB-TV.

Saturday looks to be  mostly sunny , still pleasant and dry, with highs in the low 80s and lows in the upper 50s.

Sunday should be mostly to partly sunny and warmer, with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid 60s.

Monday through Friday will be sunny to partly sunny, quite warm to hot and increasingly humid but mostly dry, with highs in the 90-92° range and lows in the upper 60s. to lower 70s. So it appears that June will finish out with a mini-heat wave.

Midnight Friday recorded a temperature of 69.5°, relative humidity 59%, pressure rising at 29.96 inches and a dew point temperature of 54.5° under clear skies.

Currently at 0746 the temperature is 66.0° under mostly sunny skies, breezy, relative humidity at 60%, barometric pressure rising at 30.01 inches, and a still comfortable dew point of 52°.

Good morning from the walrus on this Friday. Today’s featured (attached) image is my usual Friday evening view looking west at my rain gauge right at sunset (2040 EDT).
