Partly to mostly cloudy, a bit warmer, a bit less humid particularly late in the day update for Saturday June 8, 2019 from West Rockville Maryland

Saturday started out in the AM cloudy and a bit cooler, but by mid-day we had a partly cloudy sky with fair-weather cumulus dotting the sky. As evening came in, a stratocumulus overcast took over and stayed around most of the evening and much of the overnight. Temperatures rose from the mid 60s in the early AM to just over 80° by mid afternoon, then cooled off down to around 70° by midnight observation. Dew point temperatures started out in the low-mid 60s early through the mid-afternoon, then dropped to the mid 50s by the late evening.

The maximum temperature was 81.4 degrees at 1540.

The minimum temperature was 66.1 degrees at 0520.

The dew point temperatures ranged from a high of 66 degrees @ 1305 down to a low of 54 degrees @ 2225.

The relative humidity values ranged from a high of 86% @ 0508 down to a low of 50% @ 1543.

The barometric pressure ranged from a low of 29.98 inches @ 0104 up to a high of 30.16 inches @ 2237.

There was no measurable precipitation on Saturday. There has been 0.61 inches of rain recorded so far in June. The year-to-date total is 20.90 inches.

My current online data (except for rainfall/snowfall – use the cocorahs link shown below for that dataset) is showing regularly on Weather Underground. My data is posted there every 5 minutes. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time now as it is being updated on a 5 minute interval. The web address for my data on weather underground is: https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KMDROCKV200

I contribute my precipitation data daily to CoCoRaHS as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/

Please remember that my Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge, just as it does on WxLink 2.0. The tipping bucket has been producing erratic values every day of late so should not be used except for general precipitation timing.

I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4 inch CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

Sunday should be partly cloudy early then cloudy later with afternoon and evening rain showers, with high temps around 70↑ and lows in the mid 60s.

Monday should be cloudy, warm, moderately humid with chances of showers and storms  with highs around 80° and lows in the mid 60s.

Tuesday should be partly cloudy and dry with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the mid 50s.

Wednesday should remain cloudy and mild with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the upper 50s.

Thursday looks to be mostly cloudy with more rain and possible storms, with highs in the mid-upper 70s and lows in the upper 50s.

Midnight Saturday recorded a temperature of 70.1°, relative humidity 60%, pressure steady at 30.15 in. and a dew point temperature of 55.6° under fair skies.

Currently at 0644 the temperature is 65.9° under variably cloudy (broken altostratus and stratocumulus partial overcast) skies, relative humidity at 83%, barometric pressure rising at 30.17 inches, and a dew point of 61°.

Good morning from the walrus early on this Sunday.
