Partly to mostly sunny, warm, with light early morning showers update for Monday, April 8, 2019 in West Rockville Maryland

Monday was partly to mostly sunny at times and warmer. In fact Monday was the warmest day of the year so far, and the first day with a max temp of 80 or more. High temps reached the low 80s by early afternoon after quite mild very early morning lows in the mid 50s. Light showers (0.08″) fell mostly overnight and made things a bit humid the rest of the day.

The maximum temperature was 80.6° at 1318.

The minimum temperature was 56.7° at 0302.

The dew point temperatures ranged from a low of 53° @ 0005 up to a high of 63° @ 0935.

The relative humidity values ranged from a high of 90% @ 0330 down to a low of 47% @ 1535.

The barometric pressure ranged from a high of 30.03″ @ 0020 down to a low of 29.77″ @ 2015.

Monday had 0.08″ of precipitation. April now has a total of 0.25″ of precipitation. The year-to-date total is  11.94″.

My current online data (except for rainfall/snowfall – use the cocorahs link shown below for that dataset) is showing regularly on Weather Underground. My data is posted there every 5 minutes. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time now as it is being updated on a 5 minute interval. The web address for my data on weather underground is: https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KMDROCKV200

I contribute my precipitation data daily to CoCoRaHS as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/

Please remember that my Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge, just as it does on WxLink 2.0. The tipping bucket has been producing erratic values at times so should not be used except for general precipitation timing.

I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4 inch CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

Partly cloudy Tuesday, with highs around 80° once again and lows in the mid-upper 40s.

Mostly sunny with some clouds, breezy and cooler on Wednesday, with highs in the low-mid 60s and lows in the low 40s.

Mostly cloudy on Thursday with highs in the mid 60s and lows around 50°.

Currently at 1112 the temperature is 68.7° under a high overcast, relative humidity at 67%, barometric pressure falling at 29.70″, and the dew point at a still slightly muggy 57°.

Good morning from the snowless walrus on this cloudy Tuesday.

With peak bloom of the famous downtown Washington DC Cherry Trees past now, I turn my attention once again locally to blooming trees outside my window as shown in today’s featured image. Nothing as spectacular as the cherry trees, but got to progress on to other blooming trees.
