Partly to mostly sunny, breezy, cool , frosty Monday morning , warmer afternoon, evening update for West Rockville Maryland for Sunday October 21 and Monday October 22 2018

Just too much going on plus a big deadline on finishing up on my September monthly summary (should be on the blog very soon) and lack of sleep has caused me to condense two days of reports into one. Anything that I leave out that you would like to see please just let me know and I will post an update to this post at the appropriate time.

You can get my VP2 data on Weatherlink. I have migrated over to Weatherlink 2.0 so I have a new link for my data.
You can now access the data through: https://www.weatherlink.com/map/5aa32916-94c7-4a40-a2d0-0b74abfc8d8f

I am posting daily to weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.”
Data is online, normally just about in real-time. The web address for my data on weather underground is:

I contribute daily to CoCoRaHS as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/

Please remember that Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge. I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4″ CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

Sunday and Monday had no rain. October 2018 has 1.39″ of rainfall at my location with my year-to-date precipitation at 49.81″.

Overnight Monday into Tuesday was clear to partly cloudy, chilly but not as chilly as the previous overnight. Temps have fallen into the low 40s a few hours before sunrise.

Tuesday will be partly sunny and milder with highs in the upper 60s and lows around 40°.

Wednesday should be mostly sunny and cooler, with highs in the mid 50s and lows in the mid 30s with another shot at frost in scattered, favorable locations.

Thursday should be mostly sunny and cool, with highs in the mid 50s and lows in the upper 30s.

Friday should turn a bit cloudy with a 60 POP for PM showers as a storm moves in for the weekend, possibly with some remnants of Hurricane Willa now currently ravaging Mexico and soon parts of Texas as more of a nor’easter in our area. Cooler low 50s for highs, mid 40s for lows which will be chilly during the rainy periods. Saturday looks even chillier with a 90 POP for light rain, with highs holding mostly in the 40s all day. The track is still uncertain at this point, so stay tuned!

Currently at 0618 the temperature is 41.9°, dew point temperature 40°, relative humidity 92%, and barometric pressure at 30.12″ and falling. Fall color has been popping out locally the past few days. A brilliant fall scene from my home area in Montgomery County, Maryland is our featured image today.

Currently the sky is partly cloudy and temperatures are chilly.

Good morning from the Walrus early on this Tuesday.

Kevin
