Mostly sunny, milder PM after chilly AM, dry, evening clouds update from West Rockville, Maryland for Friday, October 19, 2018

Friday was mostly sunny, milder in the PM after our first 30s min of the season in the early AM. High temps reached the low 60s by mid-afternoon.  Temps held in the mid-upper 50s in the evening with increasing clouds.  Dew point temperatures rose from the upper 30s in the very early AM to the 50° mark by late evening. 

Friday’s max temperature was 61.6° at 1445.

Friday’s min temperature was 38.0° at 0715.

Dew point temperatures ranged from a low of 37° @ 0130 up to a high of 50° @ 2340.

Relative humidity values ranged from a high of 95% @ 0830 down to a low of 56% @ 1445.

Barometric pressure ranged from a high of 30.41″ @ 0000 down to a low of 29..94″ @ 2355.

Please remember that Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge. I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4″ CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

Friday had 0.00″ of rain. October 2018 has had 1.28″ of rainfall at my location with my year-to-date precipitation remaining at 49.70″.

Overnight Thursday into Thursday was clear, cool, and calm. This morning was the first day of the fall season with mins in the 30s. I did not observe any frost at my location, but nearby, more favorable spots for frost did have some. The last time I had a min temp in the 30s was 39° on April 30. 

Through the day on Friday we had sunny skies with temperatures rising into the low 60s by mid-afternoon. Temps only dropped to the mid 50s by midnight observation under increasingly cloudy skies. Dew points rose from 37° in the very early AM up to 50°just before midnight. 

Overnight Friday into Saturday was cloudy with temps holding in the 50s. Occasional light rain has started to fall. .

Saturday should be cloudy with highs in the mid 60s and lows in the low 40s with a 50 POP for light AM rain.

Sunday looks to be mostly sunny and cooler, with highs in the low 50s and lows in the mid 30s with more potential chances for frost out here in the suburbs overnight into Monday.

Monday should be sunny and a bit warmer, with highs in the upper 50s and lows around 40°.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the low-mid 60s and lows around 40°.

Wednesday should be partly cloudy and cooler, with highs in the mid 50s and lows in the mid 30s. 

Currently at 0458 the temperature is 53.1°, dew point temperature 51°, relative humidity 93%, and barometric pressure at 29.83″ and falling.

Currently the sky is cloudy with occasional light rain.
