Mostly sunny, cooler, dry, less breezy update from West Rockville Maryland for Thursday, October 18, 2018

Thursday was sunny, cooler, drier with breezes diminishing. High temps reached the mid 50s by mid-afternoon after early AM lows fell to the lower 40s. Dew point temperatures held in the 30s all day. 

Thursday’s max temperature was 54.4° at 1532.

Thursday’s min temperature was 41.9° at 2355.

Dew point temperatures ranged from a high of 40° @ 0030 down to a low of 30° @ 0515.

Relative humidity values ranged from a low of 47% @ 1615 up to a high of 87% @ 2358.

Barometric pressure ranged from a low of 30.24″ @ 0000 up to a high of 30.46″ @ 1100.

Please remember that Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge. I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4″ CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

Thursday had 0.00″ of rain. October 2018 has had 1.28″ of rainfall at my location with my year-to-date precipitation remaining at 49.70″.

Overnight Wednesday into Thursday was clear, cooler with breezes slowly lessening.

Through the day on Thursday we had sunny skies with temperatures starting out in the lower 40s in the early AM,
rising into the mid 50s by mid-afternoon. Temps dropped to the lower 40s by midnight observation under clear skies.
Dew points dropped from 40° around midnight to 30° by early morning before sunrise. 

Overnight Thursday into Friday was clear with temps dropping into the upper 30s at my location. Other more favorable spots for frost had some around sunrise. 

Friday should be sunny with high temps in the mid 60s and lows warming up Sat AM to the low 50s.

Saturday should be cloudy with highs in the mid 60s and lows in the low 40s with a chance of AM showers.

Sunday looks partly cloudy and cooler once again, with highs around 50° and lows in the mid 30s with more potential chances for frost out here in the suburbs overnight into Monday.

Monday should be mostly sunny and a bit warmer, with highs in the mid 50s and lows around 40°.

Tuesday will be sunny with highs in the low-mid 60s and lows in the low 40s. 

Currently at 0724 the temperature is 38.0°, dew point temperature 37°, relative humidity 94%, and barometric pressure at 30.39″ and steady.

Currently the sky is clear.
