You can get my VP2 data on Weatherlink. I have migrated over to Weatherlink 2.0 so I have a new link for my data. You can now access the data through:

I am posting daily to weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time. The web address for my data on weather underground is: https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KMDROCKV200

I contribute daily to CoCoRaHS as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/

Please remember that Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge. I actually use the data I post to CoCoRaHS from my 4? CoCoRaHS gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.

Monday had 0.25″ of light rain between about 0645-0845, with sprinkles at other times during the day. October 2018 has now had 1.28″ of rainfall at my location with my year-to-date precipitation at 49.70″.

Overnight Sunday into Monday turned cloudy, with light showers starting to fall just before sunrise. Temps warmed slowly all day, from the mid 50s around midnight into the upper 60s by mid-evening.  Dew points similiarly rose from the upper-low 50s around midnight up to the mid 60s by mid-evening.

Tuesday looks to cool down a bit to highs around 60°, mid 40s for lows under mostly sunny skies.

Wednesday should be sunny with highs in the low 60s and lows in the upper 30s.

Thursday should be sunny and cooler, with highs in the upper-low 50s and lows in the mid 30s with perhaps some scattered areas of frost in the normally cold pockets away from the city.

Friday should be mostly sunny with high temps in the upper 50s and lows warming up to around the 50° mark.

Early fall color change has been minimal so far, but is starting to ramp up. Not much fall color can be seen in today’s feature image, taken at my rain gauge early this morning aroung 0700 and looking east over the mostly still green landscape.

Currently at 0927 the temperature is 52.5°, dew point temperature 43°, relative humidity 70%, and barometric pressure at 30.25″ and rising.

Currently the sun is out through a high cloud deck covering most of the sky.

Good morning from the Walrus early on this Monday.

Kevin
