Remember now you can get the VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444 I am posting daily to weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time. The web address for my data on weather underground is: https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KMDrockv200#history/ I contribute daily to cocorahs as Rockville 2.8 WNW, Station ID MD-MG-115 on https://www.cocorahs.org/ Please remember that Weather Underground precipitation data reflects what is recorded automatically through the tipping bucket VP2 gauge. I actually use the data I post to cocorahs from my 4″ cocorahs gauge I read manually as my “official” precipitation total each day.
September monthly precipitation has risen to 6.78″ with my year-to-date precipitation now at 44.86″. More rain on Sunday and much of the last week of September will be changing these totals, most likely daily. Light rain has been falling early on this Sunday morning, accompanied by much cooler upper 50s temps and dew points with steadier rain falling on Sunday. Remaining cool on Monday with a 90 POP for rain and temps holding in the low 60s, warming up on Tuesday into the mid-upper 70s, lows in the upper 60s, with mostly cloudy skies and an 80 POP for thunderstorms at times. Wednesday looks partly cloudy, highs in the low 80s, lows around 60°, and a 90 POP for PM thunderstorms. Thursday should be cooler (remaining in the 60s), partly cloudy with a 40 POP for PM showers. Showery, unsettled weather appears to be hanging around for most of the upcoming week.
Currently at 0929 the temperature is 58.4°, dew point temperature at 57°, relative humidity 95%, barometric pressure at 30.23″ and rising. Cloudy skies, cool temperatures with rain continuing to fall this morning (0.39″ as of 0929) with wet weather expected the rest of the day.
Good morning from the Walrus on this cloudy, wet early Sunday.
