Brief report – rainy update – West Rockville MD for Monday July 23, 2018
Once again I am using my cocorahs report just posted on the cocorahs website to post a brief report here. Rain still falling, and will do so today and tomorrow (at least). We might get a dry break late in the week but by late Sunday the rains should resume as it looks now.

One of the by-products of all this rain is the creation of sinkholes. Two roads in my county (Montgomery) are closed till road repairs can be made so safe driving can resume. Today’s featured image shows the latest one, along Game Preserve Road in Gaithersburg, within one walking mile of where I used to live. Other images shown below are from Father Hurley Blvd in Germantown, probably about 5 miles from where I used to live and 10 miles from where I live now. This road is a much busier one than the other one and adversely affects many commuters and local residents. Two part story posted below.
