A mostly sunny, dry, milder update for West Rockville Maryland for Monday November 27 2017

Monday was another mostly sunny, dry, but milder day. Temperatures started out in the upper 30s in the early AM, then rose into the upper-mid 50s in the afternoon. Dew points were in the 20s and 30s most of the day. At 0909 we have sunny/clear skies with temperatures in the mid 40s. The Monday minimum temperature from the VP2 (38.2°) was recorded at 0330 while the maximum temperature (57.4°) was recorded at 1528. Dew point temps ranged from 25° up to 37°. Relative humidity values rose a bit from yesterday (79% – 44%). Barometric values rose from yesterday, ranging from a low of 30.08″ at 0051 up to 30.27″ at 2342.

I woke up in the early afternoon to listen to the 1 hour Weather Buff internet weekly show emanating from Buffalo State University in Buffalo NY. My friend Marty called in a question on radar. We are clear/sunny and dry early this morning with temps in the mid 40s. Today should be sunny with highs around 60° with lows in the upper 30s. Wednesday should be sunny with scattered clouds at times with highs around 60° once again with lows in the mid 30s. Partly sunny on Thursday and cooler with highs around 50° and lows in the upper 30s to finish out a dry month on a particularly dry note, with no rain since November 19. On Friday we should start out December with sunny skies, high temperatures in the low 50s and lows in the upper 20s. A bit cloudier with similar temperatures on Saturday, but still dry with only a 20 POP for rain.

On the Channel 4 weather website at 0909 their radar is clear in our local 4 state region. The closest action is a bit of light snow far to the north in Quebec Canada above the US border. There is also a bit of rain off the SE Coast and down in the Florida Keys at this time. The entire country is pretty dry, except for parts of the Pacific NW.

As of 0909, the data from the VP2 (coming from the ground radiation shield about 4 feet off the ground just under and out from the balcony) and the Lakewood WXBug station are as follows :

There was no precipitation in my cocorahs gauge on Monday through midnight. The VP2 tipping bucket rain gauge under my balcony also did not record any precipitation through midnight obs on Monday.

November precipitation is stuck at 2.09″.

The Lakewood rain gauge recorded no rain through midnight on Monday. Their monthly precipitation total is 2.22″.
