A partly cloudy, cool, dry update for West Rockville Maryland for Tuesday November 14 2017
Tuesday was a generally partly cloudy day with very similar temperature extremes as on Monday. Temps rose up to the upper 40s. Dew points were a bit lower than yesterday, from the low 30s to the upper 30s. At 0800 we have generally clear skies with a few scattered high clouds on the horizon as the sun prepares to rise in the eastern sky. Temperatures are in the mid 30s, but showcasing clear, calm mornings like this have the coldest temps at the ground, as I witnessed heavy frost on the leaves and grass when I was outside around 0330. Dew on my rain gauge was also frozen. The Tuesday minimum temperature from the VP2 (36.7°) was recorded at 0417 while the maximum temperature (48.3°) was recorded at 1151. Dew point temps ranged from 31° up to 39°. Relative humidity values lowered a bit today (93% – 57%). Barometric values rose a bit from yesterday, ranging from a high of 30.40″ at 0930 lowering to 30.31″ at 2230.
Remember now you can get the VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444. I am also now on weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time.
I finished up my October weather data summary for the North Jersey Weather Observers (NJWO) publication “WEATHERSHELTER” which also will go to other places such as WEATHERFUN and WeatherTogether and many other individuals later on this week.
We are clear this morning with temps in the mid 30s, not dropping that much overnight though I heard of readings in nearby communities in the mid-upper 20s. Wednesday should be partly cloudy with high temps hovering around the 50° mark with lows around 40° and a 50 POP for showers at night. Thursday should moderate a bit more under continued party cloudy skies with highs in the mid 50s and lows in the lower-mid 30s. Turning a bit cooler on Friday during the day with highs around 50° and lows in the mid 30s under partly cloudy skies. At this point it appears that Saturday will be cloudy with highs in the mid 50s but only a 20 POP at this point and lows around 40°. Partly cloudy and colder on Sunday, with highs in the mid 40s and lows around 30°.
On the Channel 4 weather website at 0800 radar shows rain showers over sections of the Midwest including SE WI, much of IL, western IN, and more northern areas of MI, heading ENE and looks to miss our area as time progresses.
