A partly cloudy, warm, humid but dry weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Tuesday October 10 2017
Tuesday was partly cloudy, still quite warm and a bit less humid, with no rain around today. Temperatures rose from the mid 60s in the early AM to the muggy low 80s in the afternoon among the partly cloudy skies. Dew points ranged from the lower 70s down to the mid 60s. Now at 0309 we have mostly cloudy conditions with temperatures in the low 70s with dew points in the upper 60s. The Monday minimum temperature from the VP2 (66.6°) was recorded at 0618 while the maximum temperature (82.3°) was recorded at 1544. Dew point temps ranged from 66° up to 73°. Relative humidity values lowered a bit from yesterday (98% – 66%). Barometric values rose a bit more today, ranging from 30.11″ at 0935 down to 29.99″ at 0000.
Remember now you can get the VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444. I am also now on weather underground. My ID is KMDROCKV200 and my station is called “Gardens of Traville.” Data is online, normally just about in real-time.
I was up in the late afternoon to take a shower and then prepare dinner of crab cakes and a grilled portabello mushroom and jalapeno cream cheese. The Nats playoff game in Chicago was rained out and will be made up late on Wednesday afternoon. I have a late morning dentist appointment on Wednesday hopefully, as I am not sure I can go, as I don’t have a firm deal lined up for a ride to and from. I had a few triscuits later in the evening. I talked with Ray quite a bit in the afternoon about our recent rains earlier in the week, and other items. Marty left on a trip to western Massachusetts with our friend Rick H to help set up a mountaintop weather station at the highest point in Massachusetts ( Mt Greylock at over 3000 feet). They arrived safely and posted a nice outdoor picture of some of our friend’s land up there with two deer grazing near his weather station. Robin called on facetime as she got her wifi straightened out at her new place, and I really got to see Gideon walking and running all over, chasing the dogs, and having a great time. That was awesome! I also caught up some on my email and facebook communications throughout the evening. I had some prune juice and spicy V8 around dinner time along with my vitamins and ice water.
We now have a mostly cloudy sky at 0309 Tuesday. Generally cloudy/showery and cooler weather should follow the rest of the workweek from Wednesday through Friday with temps in the mid 60s-lower 70s and lows in the 55° to 60° range. Right now a 50 POP for rain on Wednesday, a 30 POP on Thursday, and 20 POP on Friday under mostly cloudy skies. We still need all the rain we can get!!
On Weatherbug at 0309 the radar is showing light rain showers to my west over parts of PA, WV and VA along with heavier showers/storms over southern VA, all moving east. Those heavier showers/storms look to stay south of our immediate area.
