A partly to mostly cloudy, dry and pleasant weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Sunday August 6 2017

Sunday followed up that very beautiful Saturday with not that bad a day, comfortable temperatures once again with slowly increasing clouds most of the afternoon and cloudy condition most of the evening. No rain today but it is on our doorstep early this Monday morning.  Now at 0325 we have cloudy skies and light rain falling with temps around 70° and  dew points climbing through the 60s. The Sunday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground nearby (60.6°) was recorded at 0547 while the maximum temperature (79.4°) was recorded at 1732. Dew point temps stayed relatively low again but started rising late in the day with the approaching rain, ranging from 57° in the AM up to 66° in the late evening. Relative humidity values rose some today (92% – 55%).  Barometric values rose more today, ranging from 30.06″ at 0337 to 30.15″ at 1133 before slowly starting to fall towards the end of the day.
Remember now you can get the new ground-based VP2 data on Weatherlink.  You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444 I got up a bit late today, as Robin and Gideon escaped for breakfast at IHOP and to meet up with Robin’s old friend Ian, and then spent a good part of the afternoon doing a bit of shopping for me and a variety of other items. I relaxed and tried to get caught up on a few things that went for naught on a busier Friday afternoon/evening most all day Saturday. Robin and gang finally got back and brought me some ice coffee, and I snacked on some guacamole that Robin made on Saturday along with jalapeno cheese and triscuits. Much later on Robin and Ian went out for Lido’s pizza and salad, along with tasty appetizer raviolis in a special Italian sauce. Yum Yum! I even had a few beers, a Shucker Stout and a Coney Island Brewing “hard root beer” courtesy of an early Birthday present from my friends Laura and Chris. With Robin and Gideon not going back on a return flight to Las Vegas till Monday evening, and possibly being delayed due to weather (see next paragraph) I hopefully have most of the day on Monday to have more fun with Robin and Gideon. Plans are up in the air right now, depending on whether we can hook up with Aunt Tracy or not.

We now have cloudy, wet skies as light rain has started to fall within the hour with temperatures now dropping into the upper 60s and dew points in the mid 60s around 0325. Cloudy skies with a 100 POP for rain, moderate to heavy at times with possible embedded thunderstorms at times on Monday with a flash flood watch posted for our area for most all day with high temps around 70° and lows in the mid 60s. Partly sunny conditions and comfortable temps in the low 80s for highs and around 60° for lows should dominate Tuesday through Thursday.

On Channel 4 radar at 0328 much of the 4 state region is covered with light to moderate rain at this time, moving east.
