A partly cloudy, dry, warmer weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Wednesday July 26 2017

Wednesday was a partly sunny, dry, warmer day with dew points starting to climb towards the end of the day. Now at 0407 we have mostly cloudy skies with warmer temperatures than last night at this time, in the low 70s, with dew points approaching 70°. The Wednesday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground nearby (65.0°) was recorded at 0540 while the maximum temperature (84.5°) was recorded at 1546. Dew point temps rose a bit today, ranging from 70° to 61°. Relative humidity values also rose today (94% – 52%).  Barometric values rose a bit more today, ranging from 30.23″ at 0815 to 30.07″ at 1926.

Remember now you can get the new ground-based VP2 data on Weatherlink.  You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444 I woke up in the early afternoon after a more comfortable overnight rest.   I had a late breakfast of cereal, banana and a large cup of coffee. I had a physical therapy session with Jenny for about an hour, doing several exercises for my arms and legs along with a 2 lap walk down the hallway and back. I then caught up a bit on email, FACEBOOK, and some questionable charges on my bank statement that I partially cleared up, then I talked with Tracy, Marty and Robin (face-time along with Gideon) in the late afternoon/early evening. Tracy and our uber friend Mike are taking me out for s sushi lunch tomorrow. I have been longing for sushi for a few years now, as the last time I had sushi was before my daughter Robin left for Las Vegas back in 2013.  I ate more of the leftover “chicken and dumplings” that I still haven’t finished yet. I had some cashews well after dinner. I also had some regular low sodium V8 before my sandwich.  Later I continued working on more “Weatherquack” items, mostly a few miscellaneous minor issues, plus networking with old friends Lyn, Buddy and Donna, plus meeting up with a new weather friend Marci from NE TN on FACEBOOK. I hope to see many of you on Weatherquack http://www.weatherquack.com real soon – it is completely free and easy to use once you complete your registration and a short ramping up period. I also found out, through help from Tracy, Dennis and Kris B,  on how to switch my default browser to Google Chrome from Internet Explorer, which is currently in a messed up state. I can actually view webpages again through my much better Google Chrome browser connection. I also drank some water from my ginormous water bottle throughout the evening and early morning hours.

We now have mostly cloudy skies, dry, but warmer conditions with temperatures in the low 70s at 0407. Thursday warms up towards into the mid-upper 80s with a 20 POP for showers/storms under partly cloudy skies. Lows will also warm up to around 70°. Friday looks to be cloudy and rainy/stormy (90 POP with a slight risk right now for severe weather/heavy rain at times in our area) with highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid 60s. My 67th birthday Saturday looks wonderfully cool,  with highs in the upper 60s and a 90 POP for continued rain, lows in the upper 50s Saturday night. Sunny and drier  conditions should return on Sunday, with highs in the mid 70s, lows in the low 60s.

On Channel 4 radar at 0409, no real rain is organized in the immediate 4 state mid-Atlantic Region. The closest rain areas are in parts of Northern NY and Northern New England, and out in parts of the Midwest, namely central IN, IL and MO at this time.
