A clear/sunny, cooler, dry, pleasant weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Tuesday July 25 2017
Tuesday was a sunny, cooler, less humid, pleasant day. I even had a sub 80° max for the day (78.1°), only the second one this July (78.8° on the 6th was the only other one). Now at 0455 we have clear skies with comfortable temperatures in the low-mid 60s, and dew points around 60°. The Tuesday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground nearby (66.1°) was recorded at 0654 while the maximum temperature (78.1°) was recorded at 1627. Dew point temps were lower than yesterday, ranging from 70° to 58°. Relative humidity values also dropped more today (79% – 61%). Barometric values rose quite a bit today, ranging from 30.19″ at 2347 to 29.90″ at 0001 (yesterday’s high).
I woke up in the late afternoon after a rather uncomfortable overnight due to some sort of temporary intestinal problem, which has improved after a few Pepto shots. I had a very late breakfast (in the early evening) of cereal, banana and a large cup of coffee. I also caught up a bit on email and FACEBOOK, then I talked with Tracy, Marty and Robin (face-time along with Gideon) in the late afternoon/early evening. I had a turkey breast sandwich along with some potato and orzo salads for a light late dinner. I had some triscuits after dinner. I also had some spicy low sodium V8 before my sandwich. Later I continued working on more “Weatherquack” items, mostly a few miscellaneous minor issues. I hope to see many of you on Weatherquack http://www.weatherquack.com real soon – it is completely free and easy to use once you complete your registration and a short ramping up period. I also drank some water from my ginormous water bottle throughout the evening and early morning hours.
We now have clear skies, dry, and comfortable conditions with temperatures in the low-mid 60s at 0455. Comfortable temperatures will return on Wednesday with highs around 80° and lows in the upper 60s. We should have mostly sunny skies with a few scattered clouds at times. Thursday warms up towards into the mid 80s with a 20 POP for showers/storms to return and mostly cloudy skies. Lows will also warm up to around 70°. Friday looks to be cloudy and rainy/stormy (80 POP with a slight risk right now for severe weather in our area) with highs in the low 80s and lows in the low 60s. My 67th birthday Saturday looks to be partly cloudy and cooler, with highs in the mid 70s and a 60 POP for rain, lows around 60° Saturday night. Sunny and pleasant conditions should return on Sunday, with highs around 80°.
On Channel 4 radar at 0458, no real rain is organized in the Eastern US at this time. The closest notable rain is over portions of the upper Midwest, in northern WI, central MN and especially in a good part of Nebraska along with inconsequential showers out in the Atlantic off of the Carolina beaches.
