I got up mid afternoon today, as I took plenty of Tylenol 3 for my neck pain that allowed me some good sleep. My neck has gotten much better today as I continued to get going and moving around. I had a late brunch of cereal and coffee, then in the early evening I went over to Building A to participate in the weekly Trivia game. We had quite a crowd, and a lot of difficult questions that I didn’t know many answers for. I talked with Tracy before she started work at 5 PM, and then later on a good bit with Ray about the weather happenings of the week, and briefly with Marty.  I then had dinner of the a nice salad and a few slices of DiGiorno Supreme Pizza that I embellished with mushrooms and a bit of extra shredded cheese. I had a few triscuits and peanuts well after dinner plus prune juice and spicy V8 before dinner. I got a 90 minute visit from my weather friend Rick S, a noted hurricane expert and book author. Rick feels that the TS Cindy remains will give us a chance at severe weather and possibly flooding in spots in the region over today and tomorrow. We yearned for the yesteryear trend of personal weather meetings/conferences where we got together socially and talked weather without computers and cell phones. I continued to work a bit more on the newly “hatched” Weatherquack weather website which should be fun in the coming months.  I hope some of you out there will join in the fun soon on Weatherquack http://www.weatherquack.com – it is completely free and easy to use once you complete your registration and a short ramping up period.  I also started to compile my May data master spreadsheet, so I can easily prepare a summary of my station weather highlights and statistics for a published report in the NJWO publication “WEATHERSHELTER”.  I also drank a good part of my ginormous water bottle throughout the evening and early morning hours.

We now have partly cloudy, dry skies (for the moment) with temperatures in the mid 70s at about 0530.  Friday looks cloudy and wet, highs in the upper 80s and lows in the muggy low 70s, with an 80 POP for showers/storms as the remnants of TS Cindy approach the area, and give us a 50 POP for showers/storms on Saturday with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the mid 60s. It should clear off on Sunday and Monday with highs around 80° and lows in the upper 50s to around 60°.  

On Channel 4 radar at 0555, the rains associated with TS Cindy are approaching from the W and SW into the DC area, but has not fallen measurably here at my location, but should start any minute now.
