Once again I have gotten behind and must post a shorter report for the past 4 days. Saturday, May 4 was mostly cloudy, muggy but dry most of the day with similar temps to Friday (High temps in the mid 70s and lows in the low 60s.) Showers (0.15″) developed in the latter part of the evening and continued on during the overnight hours.  The maximum temperature was 73.8° at 1449. The minimum temperature was 61.8° at 0600. The dew point temperatures ranged from a low of 60° @ 0600 up to a high of 67° @ 1433….

Well as promised I bring you the report for the first 3 days of May. Temps have been going up and down depending on the position of the warm front swaying to and fro here in the mid-Atlantic states. Monday featured early AM clouds, warm temps and frontal showers (0.12″ – from 0100 to 0245 approx). Temps in the low 70s in the first few hours gradually dropped off under increasing NW breezes (post-frontal) to the mid 40s by late evening.   Clouds gradually gave way to sun at times, but blustery, unsettled skies kept quite a bit of clouds in during most of the daylight hours. Sunday featured more clouds and damp conditions, with late afternoon/early evening showers (0.08″) that were convective in nature, and in areas just 20 miles to my north, severe, with a radar indicated possible tornado just south of Frederick in the Urbana/New Market area. Saturday was mostly cloudy/foggy and somewhat wet (0.11″) early AM, then warmer and drier with partly cloudy skies during the afternoon, then clouding up in the evening once again.
