WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – SATURDAY JUNE 12, 2021

Saturday was a bit of a rebound day with milder max temps in the mid 70s reached in the late afternoon. We dried out but still had cloudy, below normal temps holding. Minimum temps were reached in the more normal early morning hours. Dew points remained in the 60s to once again correspond with the moderate air temperatures. The lighter winds peaked very early in the morning and remained in a persistent E direction that kept us cloudy all day….

Friday was quite a change of pace with cloudy, much cooler and wetter conditions in place all day. The max temp only reached the upper 60s, and that was at midnight at the very beginning of the day. Minimum temps were reached in the evening. Dew points fell into 60s to correspond with the cooler air temperatures. Thursday was a bit warmer than Wednesday. The max temp reached the upper mid 80s. Minimum temps were a bit cooler than Wednesday but were reached at the very end of the day. Higher dew points in the 70s early yielded to lower dew points in the mid 60s by midnight. We had a partly to mostly cloudy, warm, humid day with a few light afternoon and evening showers (0.12″). Wednesday was a bit cooler than Monday and Tuesday. The max temp only reached the mid 80s. Minimum temps were about the same as Monday and Tuesday and were once again reached during the early morning hours helped by the persistent high dew points in the 70s. Tuesday was almost an exact mirror image of Monday, as far as max/min temps were concerned. Once again the max temp only reached 90 as a rounded value (89.8). We had a mostly sunny, moderately humid day. The max temp was reached in the mid afternoon with low temps a bit less warm than yesterday with readings in the mid 60s reached in the usual early morning hours. Friday continued warm with dew points staying relatively uncomfortable, hitting the 70 mark once again. We had a partly cloudy day with showers scattered around the region but with no measurable rain falling at my location. Max temps reached the low 80s by mid-late afternoon with low temps remaining quite warm, only falling into the upper 60s at the very end of the day. Thursday warmed up a bit with dew points starting to climb into uncomfortable levels, topping the 70 mark by midday. We had a partly to mostly cloudy day with  thunderstorms developing by the late afternoon.
