Monday was mostly cloudy and a bit cooler than Sunday. Temperatures rose to the mid 70s with lows in the mid 60s. Dew points didn’t change much all day, staying in the mid-upper 60s all day. Now at 0702 we have cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid 60s with dew points also in the mid 60s. A bit of NE winds early this morning inhibiting the formation of fog early today. The Monday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground below my balcony (66.9°) was recorded at 0221 while the maximum temperature (76.1°) was recorded at 1534. Dew point temps flattened out more than yesterday, only ranging from 65° to 69°. Relative humidity values were a bit higher than yesterday (96% – 74%). Barometric values were a bit lower than yesterday, ranging from 30.02″ at 1853 up to 30.10″ at 0000.

I rose in the late morning to shower and get ready for a lunch out with my friend Laura. We went to “Full On” on the other side of Rockville and had some great food (a highly recommended crabcake grilled cheese and accompanying onion rings) and a draft beer and a great visit. Laura returned me back to my apartment after an hour or so and I went to work on a few projects, most notably the gathering of trivia questions I will be giving out to our trivia group Thursday evening. I also worked on my August data, filling in more information into my master spreadsheet form. I watched some evening RAW wrestling and the terrible MNF game between the Giants and Lions, won by Detroit 24-10. Eventually I fixed some chicken enchiladas in the microwave, to help use up the guacamole I made the other day as an accompaniment along with some refried beans. I talked with Ray for a while about the future tracks of Hurricanes Jose and Maria, looking stronger now and about to land a damaging blow to parts of the Leeward Islands and heading straight for the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. We also talked football and a few other topics. I also caught up some on my email and facebook messaging at times during the evening. I had some spicy low-sodium V8 juice right around dinner time, and plenty of water and vitamins throughout the evening.

We now have partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid 60s at 0702 Tuesday. On Tuesday sunny with scattered clouds at times with highs in the lower 80s and lows in the low 60s with no chance of rain as Hurricane Jose is tracking further out to sea and minimizing its effects in our immediate area but appears to be hovering out there more or less in place, looping around itself. Sunny skies should dominate our weather on Wednesday and Thursday, with warm and humid conditions, and highs in the mid 80s and lows in the lower mid 60s. On Friday a few scattered clouds may dot the mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the low 60s.

On Weatherbug at 0702 the radar is showing scattered showers offshore and onshore on the mid-Atlantic beaches of NE NC, parts of SE VA, MD, DE and into NJ at this time from hurricane Jose with some brisk NE winds at this time.

There was no rain in the gauge on Monday (cocorahs gauge – now located off the apartment property across the street from my initial two locations just off the inactive putting green – near the Montessori School playground. No sprinklers there at all on this county property).
