I rose in the later afternoon hours after talking at some length with Ray on the phone in bed, and texting a few messages to others. I took a much-needed shower and then caught some college football and baseball action (Yankees beat the Red Sox 9-2 YAY!!!). I took quite a bit of recycling items down the lobby floor while on my way out to reading my cocorahs rain gauge off the side of my apartment building. I spoke with Robin and watched Gideon having his usual late evening bath in a face time session and also Ray at some length in the evening about cruise ship accidents caused by rogue waves and rough storms, looking up several items on the internet. I had a late evening supper of left over baked salmon, 4 mini corn cobs microwaved in their own bag, and some salads and marinated mushrooms/pepperoncini. Later on for dessert I had a few more chocolate chip cookies and some triscuits. I had some prune and spicy low-sodium V8 juices right around dinner time, and plenty of water and vitamins throughout the evening.
We now have clear skies with temperatures in the mid-upper 50s at 0611 Monday. Labor Day Monday should warm into the low 80s, with lows in the mid 60s under sunny skies. Tuesday should be warmer still with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid 60s with partly cloudy skies and a 20 POP for showers/storms later in the day. On Wednesday cooler temps with cloudy skies and highs in the mid 60s, lows in the mid 50s and a 90 POP for rain. Thursday should return some sun under partly cloudy skies, highs in the low 70s and lows in the mid 50s.
On Weatherbug at 0611 the radar is showing no rain falling within the 6 state mid-Atlantic region. Major Hurricane Irma is approaching the Leeward Islands in the next day or so, and will continue to march west towards the central Caribbean Islands. Models are showing various scenarios for later in the week/next weekend’s tracks for Irma. All East Coast interests should pay attention to the latest NHC advisories on what Irma is going to do.
