Monday once again featured partly cloudy skies and pleasant air and dew point temperatures. High temperatures reached the mid 70s, with dew points in the lower 60s to mid 50s. Now at 0630 we have cloudy, rainy skies with temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s with dew points in the upper 50s. The Monday minimum temperature from the VP2 in the shelter on the ground nearby (61.2°) was recorded at 0646 while the maximum temperature (75.7°) was recorded at 1400. Dew point temps were about the same today, ranging from 61° down to 55°. Relative humidity values were roughly the same as yesterday’s (89% – 52%). Barometric values stayed steady today from yesterday, ranging from 30.24″ at 1020 down to 30.18″ at 2345.

I rose later today after briefly getting up to receive a package from Robin about noontime – it was a new cordless landline phone for my apartment, as the old one stopped working due to a bad battery. (Replacing the battery costs more than a new phone!!). The apartment inspection I expected sometime on Monday did not materialize, I suspect it will be sometime this week. I made the long-awaited jambalaya for evening dinner using andouille sausage for my meat, easy to prepare and takes less than an hour. It was pretty good, but it seemed a bit salty to me. I talked with Marty for a while after dinner, and to Robin on my new phone which I managed to assemble and get to work fairly easily. I watched some of the RAW wrestling show, and the usual late night fair. I got some email out and incoming read, and checked out Facebook. I continue to follow the tremendous hurricane (now tropical storm) Harvey coverage on TWC and local TV Channel 4 and some network coverage on location in coastal Texas as much as I can. I had some prune juice and spicy low-sodium V8 in the later evening. I had my usual water intake and vitamins (I ordered some more in fact online) and prescription medicines that I take every day.

We now have cloudy skies with light rain falling and temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s at 0630 Tuesday. Tuesday will be cloudy and rainy (100 POP) from what is still TD 10 with high temps in the cooler mid 60s. It may become tropical storm Irma sometime Tuesday but that has not occurred as yet. Wednesday should be partly cloudy and warmer with highs around 80° and lows in the lower 60s. We will warming up a bit more on Thursday under partly cloudy skies and an isolated chance for a shower (20 POP). We should be getting up to the lower 80s and lows around 60°. Cooling back down into the low 70s on Friday and lows in the mid 50s under sunny skies with scattered clouds at times. Over the weekend remaining cool and cloudy with rain possible from the remnants of Tropical Storm Harvey paying us a visit.

On Weatherbug at 0630 the radar is showing rain streaming northward from the Carolinas and Virginia into our immediate 4 state region at this time.

There was no rain recorded on Monday (cocorahs gauge – now located off the apartment property across the street from my initial two locations just off the inactive putting green – near the Montessori School playground. No sprinklers there at all on this county property) However, since midnight, starting around 0430, I have 0.05″ in my VP2 gauge.
