Remember now you can get the new ground-based VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444I got up in the late morning as Marty came in the mid morning and worked on some weather station changes. I had a late brunch of cereal, two mushy bananas, and coffee after Marty left. He took his mattress back that Robin used on her recent visit. I watched the exciting Yanks 5-3 win over the Mets on ESPN-TV here. I got a lot of miscellaneous things done, like unwanted small payments to my account for items not wanted. I think I got them all reversed. Also talked with the nurse at Physical Therapy to try to get their work authorized by Kaiser. Email work to my doctor at Kaiser also helped. I talked with my sister in the late afternoon to wish her a happy birthday (August 16). She got her present and card I sent late Tuesday night in a very timely fashion. I also spoke with Tracy and Robin on the phone in the afternoon and late evening. Mike brought over some goodies from Tracy for me, and watched a bit of the baseball game. I pulled out the recently acquired Foreman Grill and cooked a marinated skirt steak that I had never had before. It was delicious! It cooked up nicely in only about 7 minutes or so. I also had the rest of the macaroni salad and more of the orzo salad. I had prune juice and spicy V8 juice. Later I had some unsalted cashews and triscuits to snack on. I had my usual water intake and vitamins and medicines that I take every day.
We now have mostly cloudy skies, with temperatures in the low 70s at 0430. On Thursday we should see partly cloudy skies, highs in the mid 80s, lows in the low 70s with a 60 POP for showers/storms. Friday looks to be a tad warmer (around 90°) with a 60 POP for showers and storms, lows in the upper 60s. Saturday and Sunday look sunny and warm, with highs in the mid 80s and lows in the mid-upper 60s and virtually no chance for rain. Right now the outlook for Eclipse Monday appears continue the temperature regime of the weekend, with mostly sunny skies and only a few scattered clouds possible at times.
On Channel 4 radar at 0430 the four state Mid-Atlantic region and really he entire Eastern US north of Florida looks devoid of any rain radar echoes. Closest rainfall appears to be over parts of Michigan at this time.
