A mostly sunny, dry and pleasant weather update for West Rockville Maryland for Wednesday August 9 2017
Remember now you can get the new ground-based VP2 data on Weatherlink. You can access the data through http://www.weatherlink.com/user/walrusman444I got up in the mid afternoon to greet my (weather) friend Todd for a late lunch at Nantuckets Reef, which is close enough to me that I walked there. I love their clam chowder, along with wicked shrimp pasta and a draft brew. After we finished there, we came back to my apartment and I showed Todd my weather software and VP2 display, then showed him my instruments out in the courtyard below my balcony, and installed the rain cone onto the VP2 sensor suite (see featured image), plus a few other minor maintenance items. Todd then left and I returned to the apartment to talk with Ray, Marty, Tracy and Robin on the phone and catch up on my email and FB. Later in the evening I had leftover prime rib from over the weekend sliced onto leftover bread with horseradish sauce and cooked onions that was surprisingly good, along with some deli potato salad. I also had some spicy V8 with the sandwich and a bit of prune juice earlier. I also had my usual water intake and vitamins and medicines that I take every day.
We now have clear skies, with temperatures dropping through the 60s and dew points also dropping similarly around 0610. Mostly sunny conditions and warm but comfortable temps in the low 80s for highs and around 65° for lows on Thursday. On Friday and Saturday we will have partly to mostly cloudy skies with a 50 POP for showers/storms, and highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid-upper 60s. Sunday looks to have similar temps with partly cloudy skies and a 40 POP for showers.
On Channel 4 radar at 0614 there is no rain in the 4 state mid-Atlantic region. Closest rain is with scattered showers offshore of the Carolina coast and in parts of KY and SW WV.
