WEST ROCKVILLE MARYLAND WEATHER UPDATE – WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 29, 2021

Wednesday was a beautifully sunny, cool, dry day. It was the coolest day of the fall so far as it was the first day with a maximum temperature below 70°. I only reached the upper 60s for highs with dew points mostly in the 40s and 50s all day. We peaked with our max temperature (68.4) of the day in the later afternoon down to the mid 50s just at midnight at the very end of the day.

The peak wind gust for the day (16 MPH) lessened quite a bit today, peaking in the mid afternoon, veering over to a NW direction. Barometric pressures were highest very late in the day while the lowest was reached in the very early morning hours.

Thursday and Friday, to usher out September and bring in October, should be mostly sunny and dry with highs around 70, with lows in the upper 40s. The Saturday Sunday weekend period should be partly cloudy and a bit milder, with highs in the upper 70s Saturday and low 80s on Sunday with lows in the mid 50s Saturday to mid 60s on Sunday. It should remain dry during this entire time period, but on Monday our rain chances look to be increasing with warm temperatures.
